I was looking through the credit that Brandeis gives for AP classes and is it true that we only get 1-2 credits per class? Or is the 1-2 credits equivalent to something else? Thanks!

i believe that the ap chart is referring to one CLASS credit, as opposed to one credit – ie the equivalent of a class worth of credit. but there are different ways that ap credit can be used – make sure you understand them all before you decide how to claim your credit (i believe that at some point you have to go through a process to claim ap credit and that it isn’t automatic).

in any event – don’t worry – Brandeis provides excellent advising for first years – a student adviser will contact you over the summer, you’ll be assigned a faculty/staff adviser, and the office of academic advising has advisers as well. once you know your ap scores and are ready to think about registering, you will have ample opportunity to have all your questions answered. never hesitate to contact any of the advisers available to you.

can someone please link me to this chart?
i can’t seem to find it anywhere. I think I came across the page on the official Brandeis site but it said “the page did not exist on this server anymore.”

see – [New Undergraduate Information | Office of the University Registrar | Brandeis University](<a href=“New Undergraduate Registration Information | Office of the University Registrar | Brandeis University”>New Undergraduate Registration Information | Office of the University Registrar | Brandeis University)
scroll down and there is a link to ap chart.

fyi – apparently not all info on this new student page has been updated for fall 2010.
