AP Credit?

In order to have your credit posted by orientation and class registration, we must receive your Request for Approval form and all transcripts, as well as official AP/IB scores, by July 15, 2010. Please note that all Request for Approval forms and transcripts, as well as official AP/IB scores, must be received by December 15, 2010 (the end of your first semester) to have any eligible credit transferred."

They'll probably get my AP scores after July 15th, how would that affect my first semester courses? I'm curious about what type of credit I will get, and for what courses.

I got 5's in US Government, Chemistry, Micro, Macro, English Language, Calc AB, and Psychology.

Waiting on Both Physics C's, English Lit, Environmental Science, and Statistics for this year.

I think most of them will be taken. However, only one English will be accepted. And if you’re a psyche major. AP psyche will only exempt you from 111, and it will not transfer. You will have to still take Psyche 110 and 9 other courses I think. Don’t know about environmental and stats. (I imagine we take stats.). Excellent job by the way! You will have to forfeit about 2 if you get 5s on the rest, which I bet you will :).

does anyone know how to send the scores? I indicated that I wanted to send them on my scoresheet but they still aren’t coming up on OPUS. Is there something else I have to do?

The registrar gets tons of AP credit forms around this time of year. It may take time for it to post on OPUS. If you told College Board to send them to Emory (on your score sheet or after you received your results), then they will show up eventually. In reality, you have until the end of the fall semester to get the AP credits verified by Emory. So even if they don’t show up anytime soon, you have plenty of time to figure out what went wrong. Just make sure you don’t sign up for classes that you don’t need.

What’s the Request for Approval form, and where can it be found?

Just to let you know, the environmental science ap credit now only gives you elective hours, and does not place you out of the lab science ger. so with that said, since you already have chemistry as a 5, you may want to consider forfeiting the environmental science credit if you do well on the rest of your exams since you can only choose 8 courses to transfer in. hope this helps!

Also, ap stat gets you the same math credit that calc ab gives, so you could give that up… unless you want to do b-school. then, ap stat could get you out of the decision science prerequisite for the bschool which could help, but that might not pertain to you at all.

if we put down in may to send it to emory, they should have test scores, right? it doesn’t say anything under transfer credits on opus so i’m considering calling to make sure they got them. but my score report said collegeboard sent it to emory…
