AP Credits at NEU ?

Does anyone know where I can find a list or chart of which AP classes NEU might accept for credit based on scores? My son needs to register for APs by tomorrow and we don't want to waste the money on tests for which he cannot get academic credit.

Has anyone been able to skip a semester or even year of NEU due to applied AP credit?

Thanks in advance!

There’s information on the specific credit here:
[Advanced Placement Credit](http://www.northeastern.edu/cosonlineadvising/tutorial/schedule-specifics/advanced-placement-credit/)

I came in with 45 credits from IB and AP. (I think it’s now capped at 32.) My current plan is to only end up taking 7 semesters of classes. I will still be here for 5 years with 3 co-ops, but it means I don’t have to take summer classes. It’s also given me the opportunity to add a minor and have some flexibility in my schedule.

I finally found what I was looking for and here it is in case someone else needs it! The second page of the pdf has the chart. :)

nanotechnology: what is the typical semester course load? how many hours?

Also, does anyone know if son has the NMF full tuition scholarship will having AP credits just save us a semester of boarding fees? Or could he apply that 8th semester of tuition toward masters?

A typical semester is 4 courses (each 4 credits) plus additional 1 credit things like labs, enhancing honors, musical groups. I usually have 20 credits a semester. This may seem like a lot compared to other schools, but that’s just thee way Northeastern does credits a little bit differently.

With NMF, the scholarship covers up to 8 semesters of undergraduate tuition. If you take less than 8 semesters, you can’t apply it to housing or something like that. (I’m hoping to do a dialogue of civilizations next summer to take advantage of some of that that I wouldn’t otherwise use). Likewise, it can’t be applied to grad school. I’ve taken a graduate level course for undergrad credit, and that’s fine, but you can’t use it towards a masters program; it’s strictly an undergraduate scholarship, I guess.

Thanks nano!^
