AP Credits at Stanford?

Is there a benefit to me still taking AP tests this year if Stanford doesn't accept them? I would have taken the Art and European histories, Stat, and English Lit tests. However, Stanford requires that you take these courses in GEs. I've already miraculously slipped in. So should I still sign up to take these?

You do not necessarily have to take the tests, but I would recommend that you do.

Well, if you’re already accepted and they don’t grant credit for those AP tests, then just save yourself some time and money and not waste money on those tests.

My s didn’t take the test that he would not be given credit in. It just didn’t make sense to us to pay for something that he had no chance of receiving any kind of credit for. It hasn’t hurt him in the least. The most important part of the AP is the class at that point and the fact that you actually know the information in case you are going to take future classes in that area. So don’t waste your money.

Hell no don’t take them. I only took 1 AP test senior year despite having been in 5 AP courses.
