AP Credits - can they be used to fulfill multiple requirements?

For example - could a passing score in AP US Gov. be used to fulfill the American History and Institutions Req. along with counting as an Area D: Social Science course and fulfill part of my major requirements (as PoliSci12) ?

I have the same question for a UCSB course - can it be used for multiple reqs or just one?

Thanks!!

you can use that ap test for both area D and a special requirement like american history and institutions. i am pretty sure that you can’t use ap credit to fulfill major prerequisites. but i am not sure. :p

Yea you can.

The counselor told me that I couldn’t take/sign up for PSTAT5E (prereq to my major) yet because I took the AP stats test and didn’t know whether I passed it or not. If i passed it, i didnt have to take the class. And yea i passed it so yay :D.

A single course can fulfill a major/pre-major requirement, ONE a-g GE requirement, and any of the other GE requirements. For example, Art History 6A fulfills a requirement for the Art History major, a writing and a european traditions requirement, and then you choose if it fills area e or f for you.
