Hi I am currently a community college student hoping to be a junior level transfer. I have AP credits for Macroeconomics, US History, and US Government. I was wondering if these units would not be counted if I were to take similar courses at my college. For example I am currently taking a political science course on the US government. Would UCLA not grant me credit for both courses?

Go to the UCLA site and find their AP policy.

If they’re the same class then you can only count one of the credits. AP credits usually count for an entire sequence. You’re wasting your time in that Poli Sci class if it counts as the same credit as the AP class.
