We were just told how to figure out AP scores translating into UF credit. My daughter has 13 AP tests that come out to 63 credits. Does this mean she goes in as a junior (credit-wise). We were not told about this at Preview and 6 of the tests were from this year so she hadn't had the results yet. Are there any students with experience like this? She is planning on double majoring so this may not help all that much. How does this work?

the most credit you can bring in with ap exam scores is 30 credits at UF, so no, your daughter won't be entering as a junior. She will, however, have sophomore standing, and could probably easily graduate in 3 years. Double majoring should be no problem either. She'll have to choose which 30 credits she'll want to apply to the uf degree, and the rest will be wasted (not that the classes she took in a high school were a waste). Even though you can't use all ap scores for credit, she could probably use them all for placement and jump into higher level courses in certain subjects. I suggest that she use the ap credits to fulfill some gen. ed requirements for types of classes that she won't want to take at UF (i.e. if she doesn't like biology, and she has an ap bio score, use the score to get credit for the biological science requirement.)
