For a mechanical engineering will you be able to get credit for AP Biology or AP statistics, even though they arent humanity credits? I want to know if they're worth trying to get a 4 or 5 on

Thanks

I don't have the link in front of me...but you will most likely get credit. Beware however...for most of Umich's AP stuff...they do not give Core Credit...its just elective credit...its pretty hard to get out of taking some math or science. Since your ME, I'd imagine you might want to skip AP and study up for the placement exams.

But I'm just another guy...Alexandre should be considered the best source for this type of info.

I don't know what the MechE requirements are for electives and humanities and whatnot, but according to the site, the school of engineering does give a good amount of credit if you can get a 4 on each.

You should be able to get credit on AP Bio and Stat. AP Bio, you can get a 3,4 or 5 on but you get different course credit depending on the score (3 or 4/5). Statistics needs a 4 or 5.

The link chibearsfan posted doesn't seem to list everything the college of engineering gives credit for. I think this link is probably better since its from the engineering site:
http://www.engin.umich.edu/students/prospective/undergraduate/admissions/apibtransfer.html

Hopefully the info on that pg is correct because I signed up for AP tests based on that! Many of the APs listed on that link give course credit. Is that considered core credit or elective credit?? I don't know much about the college credit requirements system yet.

At LSA...its elective credit...but engin might be differant.
