AP Credits

I'm trying to send out my AP scores to UCR before orientation because they said that you need them sent but apparently the score sending system for College Board is down until July 1 which is also the first day of orientation. When picking classes will they just have to take my word that my scores for all of my tests are accurate until I can actually send them?

Also I took 4 tests this year and the scores wont be sent until mid through July, can I change classes if the tests I took make me exempt from certain classes?

you can get the scores on jul1st through the phone or online—it costs an extra 8 bucks to get them early

What AP classes did you take?

Some don’t fulfill breadth requirements, but you can get units from them.

English lit
English Lang
statistics
biology
European history
American history
psychology
macroeconomics

[University of California - Counselors](http://www.universityofcalifornia.edu/educators/counselors/adminfo/freshman/advising/credit/riverside.html)

Be sure to pay attention to the college. CHASS, CNAS, etc. have different policies.

I would list it for you, but I don’t know your scores… and that makes a difference. :p

Ok I’ll post them
eng lit-?
eng Lang-4
stats-?
bio-3
euro-3
American-4
psych-?
Macroeco-?

So… are you cnas or chass or what? I can’t answer unless I know what college you’re in.

But… for English, you get to skip to 1C.

Oh sorry I’m in BCOE for chem E

i heard from the grapevine that even if you passed a science ap test you still have to take the class but you still get credit for passing it .

BCOE

eng lit-? –> Doesn’t matter because you passed Eng Lang
eng Lang- 4 –> Skip to Eng1C
stats- ? –> if you pass, you can skip stats 40
bio-3 –> earn 8 units elective credit, but you don’t get to skip any classes
euro-3 –> 4 humanities credit and 4 elective credit (fulfills one humanities class)
American-4 –> Earns credit for Hist 17A and 17B (fulfills two humanities classes)
psych-? –> 3 gives you 4 units toward social science breadth / 4 or 5 gives fulfills psych2
Macroeco- fulfills econ 2

Lolol there’s actually info on AP credit stuff on the last page.

You will have fulfilled Eng1A and Eng1B (eng lang)

You will have fulfilled 2 out of 3 social science classes (macroecon + if you pass psych)

You will have fulfilled Part B of Humanities (euro)

I believe those are the only test that will help you skip some classes.

The other ones weren’t necessary for your major, so you get units instead. That’s a good thing though. The more units you have, the faster you get to register for class. =) Although… that does depend on your orientation date as a freshmen.

Wow thanks for all of this, my orientation date is the 30th so I have priority registration yet I haven’t recieved my scores yet so it’s kind of unfortunate. I’ll have to talk to a counsler once I get the scores

[Undergraduate Admission](<a href=“Undergraduate Admission by University of California, Riverside - Issuu”>Undergraduate Admission by University of California, Riverside - Issuu)

Pages seven and eight have the AP stuff. I don’t know how accurate it is, but hopefully it helps.

I remember doing a lot of science APs, all I got was elective credit :(

they say that the general chem classes are too hard to skip even with AP credit but, Chem001A is EASY lol. I studied for about 2 hours total for the entire quarter and I got an A

Ah man thats unfortunate i shoulda taken that i am taking the honors chem 01a class hopefully it is still easy!
