AP Credits

Our D was a bit skeptical of the laptop as she had always wanted a Mac for college. She has been very pleasantly surprised by the Dell and says it is great!

They don’t have the University Scholars for S’s major- Psychology, so not sure what he would do with 25-30 credits he might have. Graduating in 3 years isn’t an option. I don’t think he would have a serious minor in anything. I wouldn’t want him to just take 12-14 credits each semester, although that would help his gpa. I was wondering if there was something he could do if he wanted to be premed- like take all those hard courses Senior year once he finished his major requirements, but that probably isn’t a good idea either. If he does IHP maybe a year abroad?

^^^Your son could do University Scholars in another major. If he wanted to take the pre-med courses, I would recommend him spreading them out over multiple years, which should be possible with almost any major. Also, one doesn’t have to be in IHP to study abroad.

Right on IHP, but I think if you are going to study abroad and need to take language classes in order to do so, you might as well have the IHP designation. Unless you go to an English speaking country like the UK or Ireland, but that is kind of limiting.
Wonder why they don’t have University Scholars in Psych, they offer graduate studies? Oh, I see they don’t offer a terminal masters in Psych, just the phd. Getting a little ahead of myself here lol.

Regarding University Scholars, each year or so, the school adds another program. So by the time your son is a sophomore or junior, psychology just may be on the list.
