AP cridit useless at Cornell

from you sn it looks like you are specifically referring to Cornell. You really need to look up the specifics because this varies at each school.

I don't think Cornell has "minoring," or at least not in my college (CAS). I don't think many engineers double major at Cornell on account of the course requirements and the demand of the omnipresent genius curve in all those classes.

Double majoring would presumably require more work but keep in mind, Cornell requires and encourages breadth. Much of double majoring probably just takes the place of electives you would have taken otherwise--it just focuses them on a single, second subject that interests you.

That might answer your question.

**Can I double major?
Yes. It is possible to double major. To register for a double major, you will need to complete the following steps:

Step 1: Meet with your faculty advisor and discuss your plans to double major.

Step 2: Meet with the staff in the Engineering Advising Office, 167 Olin Hall.

Step 3: Fully review the Special Programs section of the Undergraduate Engineering Handbook.

thanks, that was helpful.

anyways...it's going to be really hard to decide whether to use and which ap credit.

i'm going to post a few more questions later.

why don't you consider doing a little research before you ask your next questions. You can find specific information about using your AP credits and trust me it won't be as hard as you think.

For a major, you have to fulfill a certain number of courses in that department. Apparently 9 or 10 is the norm in CAS. For a minor, you have to do about 5~6 courses, I think.
