AP/DE courses

I go to a fairly large rural school, and of course we don’t have the opportunity to take IB level classes. Instead, we take DE classes, which allows me to get my Associates’ upon graduation. Some of my classes are listed as AP/DE. In applications, it only asks to add Honors, AP, or DE courses.

Should I list my AP/DE courses as AP, despite only taking the AP exam for two of those classes?

For core classes, my school’s levels are regular, CP, and DE (for those 9th-10th grade history and English classes were listed as honors). Could all of my DE classes be counted as honors courses as well?

It sounds like you need to sit down and ask your counselor these questions.

However, although they both show rigor, a DE class is not the same as an AP class, so you should not list them as such. The AP program is run by the College Board, so it might be safer to list the two classes for which you took the exams as AP, and list the rest as DE, assuming you got college credits for the rest without an additional exam (outside of a passing grade in the class) being necessary. Make sense?

That’s what I was thinking, I just wanted to make sure. Thanks!
