AP difficulty in YOUR school

oh gosh.

Easiest: US History, Chem, English Lit

They are all pretty hard. No kidding.

The easiest: AB Calc AP, Statistics AP

We have Stats and Environmental Sci, but they aren't called AP yet they are treated as APs and are easy.

Hardest: econ, chem, physics
easiest; enviornmental

The rest are all pretty hard.

i really dont get how all of you are putting Calc BC on the hard list...i sleep throughout most classes, and if not that then im doing Sudoku puzzles. we go through a couple examples in class, i do 10 minutes of homework each night, we do a few practice tests, and I have a 96 and 75% of the class gets 5's (huge noncompetitive public). im definetely not smarter than a majority of you, but i really dont see how lower level calculus is hard...all you do is follow rules and formulas with minimal "innovation" or "cleverness" required. a few word problems do get a bit tricky though.

my BC teacher is a really lame grader. you miss any little thing, and she subtracts like 5 points. and, she assigns tons of problems, a typical night is pg. 325: 1-63 all.

in terms of ease of material, BC is easy for me, but in terms of ease of achieving an "A," BC at my school is hard.

By the way, just b/c the BC concepts come naturally to you does not mean you have to put down people who struggle with the class. By saying that you "really don't see how lower level calculus is hard," you are basically telling everyone who thinks it's hard that they are either stupid or inept in the realm of math.

the thread's title is "AP difficulty in YOUR school." if you feel that BC at your school is so easy, you could have simply put it into the easy category on your own personal list, rather than brag about your math ability or the ease of your school whilst demeaning everyone who had it on their hard list.

yeah come to think about it...in my list i put ap calc as hard, but then again, he grades pretty easy. the concepts are hard, he complicates everything, but he grades easy. he'll give us a 10 question test and take off like 3 points for completely wrong multiple choice quetions rather than 10 just because we showed random work. he doesn't check the homework either, we just get credit for it. maybe its more of a medium for me.

hardest is probably US

damn i thoguht ap sciences would be the hardest everywhere

it shows that APs cant really be compared with others around the nation...maybe hs profiles should note the hardest aps or somthing

Hardest: Chemistry, US History, Biology, Language, Calculus AB/BC

Medium: Spanish, Economics

Easy: US Government/Politics, Literature

Hardest : Chemistry / Physics C / Calculus AB

haha hotpiece i wasnt putting anyone down or taking an elitist position, i was just under the impression that COMPARITIVELY ap sciences and humanities are harder than math but this thread definetely changed my opinion. it's you who is taking a more aggressive position...i was just passively stating how it is at my school :).

i took an aggressive position b/c you basically said that whilst sleeping through the class you pulled a high "A" while numerous people have posted that they are struggling in BC. I just thought your comment about the ease of the class was insensitive.
