I'm planning on self-studying both AP econ exams. I was wondering what text books would you guys suggest and why. I know there's a sticky about AP prep/review books and i've read it, but i'm still wondering which review book would you suggest? thanks a lot!

Economics - Krugman & Wells

And use PR for prep.

I am not sure about the textbook. I am taking micro/macro next year and I was thinking of getting 5 steps to a 5 for prep. Most people say that PR is the best because they have never tried 5 steps to a 5. Check out the PR 2009 reviews on amazon and check out 5 steps on amazon. 5 steps also gives you 4 practice tests and more course review as opposed to PR’s 2 practice tests.

5 steps to a 5 works! i started using it 2 weeks before the econ exams and it got a 5!! i got Bs in the class but i got a 5 and my teacher refuses to change my grade.

textbook for econ is Economics by McConnell and Brue. On the publisher’s website, it has ap correlation for the 17th edition and 18th edition, telling you what pages to read for the ap exam.
