Hey!

This shouldn't be too bad.

I took macroecon for 2nd semester so I feel like that should be pretty easy.

However, I haven't even looked at Micro stuff yet. I plan on learning Micro on Wednesday hahah..

How are you guys doing? Anyone else in the same predicament?

Good luck everyone on their AP exams.

I'm in a similar predicament... took Macro 1st sem, Micro 2nd sem... trying to study/relearn Macro and review Micro at the same time (as well as study for AP Psych which is in 3 hrs... at least it'll be over with!).

Good luck... we should try getting one of these review threads going, but it looks like a lot of CCers aren't taking AP Econ tests this year.

I'm going to be learning both on Wednesday night. I've looked over stuff but we didn't have the class so wednesday is going to be a late night.

I'm taking both exams on Thursday. I'm totally screwed. I'm going to do the entire PR book the day before the test! I have NO background in Econ. I guess I wasted my money trying to take these exams, but I thought they might help me in case I want to major in econ. Also, the 2-for-1 price is a good deal, so I'll be taking both. I'm the only one taking it in my school.

any idea what the curves are like for ap econ? (both of them)

Don't know but I'm the only one taking the exams at my school today. And I'm majoring in Econ. Gotta learn it ALL on wed. night.

is placing out a good idea if your majoring in business or economics? Wouldn't it be beneficial to take the courses in college and try to build a stronger foundation since they are crucial in the business world. Many colleges claim that high school courses do not teach the material in enough depth and that placing out is not recommended. I have no idea just want to see what other people think.

I've actually wondered the same thing, but an Intro to Micro/Macro class is probably going to be full by the time I get to register
I have a pretty firm foundation though by reading/talking with professors
I am still wrestling with the idea though

Of course you should try to take the college version of the course if you actually plan to major in econ. But wouldn't you say it's worth it to try them out and get a good background in it? It might help you in college whether you get credit or not. Well at least that's what I'm thinking.

BCgoUSC, how are you preparing? Do you have econ courses? I don't, so I have to self-study ALL on Wed. night.

econ is so easy that i slept through the exam and took the test in 10 minutes. i got a 5.

just kidding.

i'm self studying for micro-econ... and not taking macro. I think I'll do fine on the multiple choice.... I'm a little iffy about the frqs. do you think they will be very similar to the ones on ap central?

also does anyone know how difficult the PR mc is compared to real test?

Shucks, it seems liek PR is the best book to learn the material with...

However, I only have the Kaplan book :(

Looks liek a couple of us are learning this Wednesday night...

Good luck to us all.

The Micro test should be easy, but I slacked off the latter half of senior year so I'm still kind of fuzzy on Macro. Either way, it can't be that hard...

Really. I've taken Microecon online (APEX anyone?) and i feel inadequate. Who knows, this might turn out to be one of those easy exams, or so I hope.
Is there a comprehensive site that tells you how to draw those darn curves for Microecon?

danielsjang - I took both Economics classes on Apex also and I also feel inadequately prepared based off the coureswork. Lots of reviewing/studying/additional learning necessary I guess w/ Apex economics classes (though I felt okay with Psych... did you take any other classes on Apex?). Good luck!

I"m taking both... but i have a good teacher and know the stuff so i should be good..
gonna review some macro i got 52/60 on the micro practice and the FRQ are really easy so i just gotta review some vitals lol... i'm gonna wait till wednesday afternoon.../night

saliksyed, did you take an actual collegeboard test or was it from a review book?

jpt0509: cool! I didn't know another APEX-er existed here, let alone for microecon (that's w/ Mrs. Gabriella Bray, right?) I took it 1st semester. It was the only apex course, and i'm pretty sure it'll always be the only apex course I take. The quality was simply too low... NOthing beats a real classroom, i think.

I thought last year's 1st FR was alittle hard. Probably need to spend alittle more time on it.

danielsjang: I had micro second semester with Dr. Good (had macro with him 1st sem too). I wasn't impressed with Apex, but it was the only online courses that my high school was willing to fund, and they do have decent selection for what courses you want to take. Well, at any rate, it sure beats my high school haha (only offers 1 AP class). But I agree... nothing does beat a real classroom.
