AP Eng Lang question

About what raw score is needed on multiple choice to get a 5 on the exam if i score at the very least 3 sevens on all of the essays?

It’s really hard to say. Each year they slightly alter the scores and rubrics. My teacher did say that it’s possible to get 50% of Mult Choice right and write 7-8-9 essays and still get a five.

You should ask your teacher for one of the scores and experiment with it. To be on the safe side, I’d say arond 65% of all the mult choice if you plan on making all 7s.

Ok opposite question: If I get 70% on the MC, what would I need to average on the essays (to get a 4)?

I suck at writing. do you think I can do it?
SAY YES
lol

You can find a close number by looking at the ranges.

It takes about 110 points for a 5, so…

3 (exams)7 (scores)3 (scale factor)=@63 (it would probably be slightly more but for our sake)

leaving 47/1.27 (approx scale factor for m/c)=37 or so…

getting to 37 can be done with 40 correct answers and 12 wrong and 3 omits.
