quesiton: Which test (and class if you'd like) is more difficult?

(also, what's the Lit test like? format? thanks!)

bump. bump. thanks.

Language is nonfiction, Literature is poetry-centered. Same format, essentially. MC is a lot of passage reading and answering questions about the author’s techniques and such, the subject matter just varies from Lang to Lit.

This is a very subjective question because these tests are in the same format but just deal with two different types of writing; whichever field youre better in should be easier for you. Statistically, people do worse on the Lit, and it is intended for Senior year possibly because of the rigor of work it takes to get a 5.

My favored one is the Lang because I despise poetry, and I’ve taken some practice ones and I feel comfortable with the format (I’m taking it next year), but the Lit one just requires a deeper knowledge of literary devices, in my opinion, and a better ability to understand meanings of poems.

it is true that language is usually nonfiction, but literature is more than poetry. literature, of course by its names, include literature, ranging from short stories to novels.

Like what michaelwiggins say, people actually do worse in literature than language.

Literature: for the essays, first essay: compare/contrast two poems and analyze them both. second essay: analyze a short story for literary devices. third essay: an essay where u discuss about one of the novels you read and there also a list for you to choose a book but you can still a choose a book outside of that list.

Well, actually, the lit’s mean score is slightly higher than lang’s. But still, more people get 5’s on lang than on Lit.
