<p>Should I take the AP exam? I'm a very good reader, and scored well on the Critical Reading PSAT (78) as well as a 99% in my Honors Brit Lit class. I'm just wondering how necessary the class is. (My school only has AP Lit for seniors)</p>

<p>Go for it! If you're a good writer, you should be fine. I remember on a mock exam I absolutely failed MC, wrote decent essays, and got a 4. (Also got a 4 on the official exam -.-;; ) If you're a better writer than me you should do fine. ^^v</p>

I decided to self study this couple of weeks ago (and bought my prep books) because someone on this board said that it was really really relaly really really easy..
is it really that hard?</p>
<p>if your english skill is good, and you get really good CR scores on the SAT, and you write good essays, and you are a natural reader.... then a five should come naturally for you...</p>

<p>The MC isn't really that hard...it's just extremely boring. I fell asleep during it haha.</p>

<p>My son took the AP English language test last spring as a junior. He never had any AP English class before taking the test, just American Lit & British Lit. He got a 5. Your English teacher might be able to give you more guidance about how well kids at your school do on the AP English language exam & what prep is useful. There are books on pretty much all tests, including the AP English Language exam that you can borrow from the library or buy from the bookstore to help you decide whether you should take the exam or not.
Son is now taking AP English & will take the AP English Lit exam this spring as a senior. I've read that it's a tough exam.</p>
<p>In all actuality, aren't they all pretty hard tests? You could say that Psychology is easy or Stats is easy, but the truth of the matter is that it really depends on the testtaker. Math might be easier to you, or English could be easy to you. I think that Stats is hard, to be honest. I'm doing the worst in it. I think with lots of studying, I can bring a positive thing out of such a negative one.</p>
<p>i thought the mc was a breeze. it even included a passage that we had studied in school my sophomore year...</p>
