<p>I’m no expert, but I believe the curve is lenient or harsh based on the median raw score. If the median score is high in proportion to the maximum score, the curve may be harsh. If the median score is low in proportion to the maximum score, the curve may be lenient. I’ve been told a million times by my AP teachers that the range of raw scores to earn a 1, 2, 3, 4 or 5 generally remain the same from year to year.</p>
<p>Eh, I didn’t think the essays were that easy. I’m a reader, too, but I think the prose selection essays are usually difficult.
The MC, on the other hand–I would be shocked if I got more than one wrong. Seriously.</p>
