<p>I have a choice of whether to take AP English Lit. or Honors English 4 for my english class for senior year. I took AP english lang. in 11th grade and I got a B in the class with a 2 on the AP exam. I'm worried that taking AP english this year might have a negative effect on my gpa. I am thinking of applying to school such as Carnegie Mellon and UPitt for engineering. How much will taking Honors english instead of AP english lit. matter towards me getting accepted?</p>
<p>If you’re applying for engineering, it’s not really going to make a difference, as long as your schedule is rigorous your senior year. Hopefully you’re taking some higher level math/science classes.</p>
<p>For the record I thought lit exam was a lot easier than lang exam, but that doesn’t necessarily mean the class will be easier of course.</p>
