For people who are familiar with both tests, please compare and contrast. Is the literature SAT II easier or harder than the multiple choice on the AP? Will someone who got a good score on the subject test likely get a good score on the AP? What literary knowledge/techniques are emphasised on the AP but not tested on the SAT II? Thanks in advance, I have very little time to study so any input is greatly appreciated.

I’m assuming its harder than SAT CR. I had a 780 CR and 720 on literature satII (didnt study for either). I’m too busy studying for Biology, and I have been assigned a bunch of Calc Ap practice despite it being laughably easy; so I really don’t have time before Thursday. I will have to rely on the insights you are willing to devulge haha. Thanks in advance.

I’m really interested in knowing too.

Our teacher hasnt prepared us at all, however I took SAT II Lit, and if it’s similar maybe I can study from that test’s prep book.

Bumpitybump

Cmon, there have to be people who are familiar with these two tests. Or at least AP lit and CR sat

I guess not.

The AP test is harder. It asks you to do a lot more than the SAT. AP focuses on analysis and ability to tie analysis/stylistic devices to meaning. The SAT II lit exam calls for much broader, general analysis and comprehension, and does not require any writing.

^ I found the AP M.C. to be quite easy, about SAT CR level. Certainly much easier than SAT II Lit.

im a wierd case-- i scored almost 100 points better on my lit test than on the SAT I, i think by virtue of the fact im not good with those little strategies and tricks the SAT I uses to trick you. i found the AP lit mc to be roughly the same as the SAT II lit. basically, if you know literature youll do well on the ap or sat ii.
