AP English????

So I'm currently a high school Junior. I have a good GPA as of now (4.4) and SAT score (2330). I know that grades and classes taken aren't the be-all end-all for colleges, but I desperately want to get into UPenn (specifically the Huntsman Program). And so I was wondering whether it was 'necessary' to take AP English. The AP Classes I've taken are

Sophomore Year
AP Spanish

Junior Year
AP USH
AP Stats
AP Art History

and am planning Senior Year to be:
AP Psych
AP Environmental
AP Gov
AP Calc BC
AP Econ

so I don't think I can handle another AP class, especially English which I heard is horrendous. (My school only does one AP English class combining AP Lit and Lang). So what do you think? Should I tack on AP English and just deal with it? Maybe drop AP Psych, add an honors class and take AP English? Please Help!

When your guidance counselor fills out his/her recommendation, he/she has to indicate whether the classes on your transcript were ‘most rigorous available’ or something less than that. You need the ‘most rigorous’ box checked for highly selective schools. I’m guessing that taking one less AP isn’t going to knock you out of that category. But you need to ask your guidance counselor about how the determination is made at your school.
