I found the table for AP credit for courses, but did not find anything listed for English, or Writing.

Does Tulane not give AP credit for your typical freshman english comp course?

Thankfully, engineering only requires one semester of writing, but curious as to whether it would be possible to test out of the course.

Thanks for any info!

According to the table a 4 or 5 in either English Language or Literature gives credit for
ENGL 101

To amplify what gabby is saying, either a 4 or 5 on the AP gets 4 hours of credit and you can start at any 200 level or above English course.

Thanks. I didn’t see that table. The BME curriculum lists one course in Writing in fall freshman year. Do you know if this class can be AP’d out of?

Thanks.

I don’t know that for sure, but my strong guess is yes, unless it emphasizes technical writing. Then it would probably be valuable anyway. I think Dr. Rice is in charge of these kinds of issues for BME, might be worth an e-mail.

BTW, my friend, you must be getting nervously excited now that the time is fast approaching.
