is it possible to self-study? i chose to take honors, instead, because word is that the ap teacher is a psycho-freak, lol. but can someone explain what the test expects of u? [ie reading comprehension, vocabulary, or...what? lol]. thanks.

edit:wait, is it called english literature? oh, god, idek. lol.

There’s AP Language (AP Eng. I) and AP Literature (AP Eng II). It’s definitely possible to self study AP English. If you’re doing lang., you basically analyze how stuff is written (rhetorical strategies). For lit., you just analyze works, like what they mean. I recommend you getting a prep book to see what it’s about. I thought the reading comprehension was going to be like the SATs, but it is actually a lot harder than i thought.

is reading comprehension a part of the AP language test? & is there all there is to it? literature sounds much too hard, lol.

Multiple choice - 4-5 passages and 54-56 questions. There’s probably some, but most asks about rhetorical strategies. However, it’s still reading comprehension since you have to know what each essay is about and what the author is saying.

It’s reading and writing.
