AP Enviro Best Prep Book + Mini Freakout

Hey! I’m self studying APES this year (last year I studied AP Psych and AP HuG and got 5’s with Barron’s). I picked up a Princeton Review 2016 and REA Crash Course for Enviro this year, but after reading some reviews, I’m scared! Everyone said (especially after the 2016 exam!) that PR was too general. Any APES veterans out there (or people with teachers’ recommendations for books) that have a recommendation for a thorough, doable book?? I am definitely aiming for a 5 again, so any tips about FRQs (and multiple choice lol) and especially the best prep book are highly appreciated! I want to make sure I’m studying the right thing before dedicating time just to have to start over. Thanks!

Hm, just saw this. What book did you end up getting?

@Heba165 I used the combination of PR and crash course. Crash course helped for little details in to use in the FRQs, but I guess we’ll really know in july

How did you do? I’m self studying this year and need to know what books to get!

@xivydreamsx I got a 5! here’s a thread I posted on what I did:

feel free to PM me if you have any questions :slight_smile:

Honestly I think you should be fine with your review books. I took APES but my teacher was practically clueless so we all “self-studied” ( I say this lightly as most of the class was seniors who were worrying about other APs that were more challenging). Various AP Human Concepts are found in APES. I would recommend using PR, Barrons, and maybe even 5 steps to a 5. Also looking at released exams. Overall I think you will do more than fine/ possibly get a 5 if you study all the books/ resources you have mentioned above.
