Can any of you guys tell me about AP Environmental Science? It's the only AP offered to sophomores and I have to take it concurrently with Chemistry. Will it be difficult to do so or will it be OK? I've heard that the teacher at my school is light on homework as well.

I’m taking AP Environmental Science as a sophomore next year, too. At my school, it is a one semester college course spanning two high school semester, so it is really chill. With that being said, you still need to study because it is an AP class.

Well of course. I think I’m going to take it though because even though I’m not extremely science-y, the material seems interesting to me.

The school I go to, Sophomores can only take AP World History. Also, in order to take any AP science class (including AP Environmental Science), one would have already taken: Honors/Merit Biology and Honors Chemistry. I’m taking AP Environmental science next year, and I heard that (at least in my school) that there’s is a lot of work. AP Environmental Science is for students who are interested in the environment and wish to learn more. It’s not TOO science-y but you’ll need a science background from Biology and Chemistry. That’s why students have to take Biology and Chemistry before AP Environmental Science or any science at my school.

At my school APES is really easy.

I realize that your from the same school district as me. I don’t know what school but if you go to dimond apes is really easy and doesnt have a lot of homework.

I took APES as a sophomore and APUSH and it was totally manageable. Taking AP chem with it seems a lot more difficult. My friend did but he’s very studious.

APES is the easiest AP I took (I took 9). The class was a bit difficult as the tests required knowing lots of little facts but the exam was a piece of cake. I got a 5 with 0 studying.

APES is super easy and requires absolutely no knowledge of chemistry.

Usually, APES is an AP class seniors like to take because it is easy. I’ve heard you just watch a lot of movies. I’m take APES because I’m taking AP Chemistry and AP World History and don’t want to overload myself. It should be fun :D.

that’s odd how you say it’s so easy when in my school we have to do so much work it’s crazy…
