AP Environmental Science or AP French

I am going to be a sophmore and my current class setup is this

AP Chemistry 1
Math Analysis Pre-BC level (Weighted as an ap at my school)
AP European History
AP Environmental Science
Honors French 4
Honors American Literature

If it was up to me I would be taking AP french 4 instead of honors (AP french spans years 4 and 5), but my parents say I can either take environmental science and honors french or just ap french and no environmental science. This is the only year where I would be able to take environmental science and it really interests me, but I am strong in French and my teacher thinks I will be fine in AP french. I can always take AP french 5 as a junior, but I want to take ap french 4 to be very well prepared for the ap exam. Any advice on what I should do.

If there’s no way you can take both, I’d say to drop Environmental SCience and take AP French. Environmental Science is considered on of the easiest AP’s, and you could easily self-study it. French AP though is much harder, and it requires years of practice as you know. You may not get that as much in an Honors class.

AP French will be more likely to give you college credit. Some colleges don’t accept APES.

If you want to take both, take AP French and self-study AP French.

Self-study Environmental and take French. Enviro is self-studyable, French is not (at least not as much).

environmental science is extremely easy.
