AP Environmental Science or AP Psychology?

I'm a rising senior and I have one free slot in my schedule. I really want to take both environmental science and psychology, but I have to limit down to one. The other one I'll probably self study. Which course should I take at school and how helpful/difficult is it?

Definitely take AP Environmental. It’s really fun and I don’t know about your school but we went outside a lot and had a lot of field trips to farms and forest preserves. The APES test is pretty hard if you don’t have an understanding of how interconnected the environment is with humans. I would imagine it would be harder if you were to self study because you get a better feel for the course material after doing things like labs and field trips.

As for psych, A fair number of kids at my school self-studied psychology and got 4s and 5s, but I never took the class though since it’s considered a blow off at my school.

AP Environmental was REALLY fun! Trust me, take it!

I’m taking AP Environmental this upcoming year as a junior, and while the actual class I’ve heard is a bit of a blow off class at my school, the actual AP exam is killer. If you really do plan on taking both exams, the easier route would be to take AP Environmental as a class and self study AP Psychology because AP Psychology is a much easier test and I feel like AP Environmental would be a more fun classroom setting anyway tbh

Self-study psych. Three of my friends (who didn’t take the class) cracked open a review book only a few days before the AP exam and two got a 4 and one got a 5. Apparently it’s not difficult at all!
