I'm self-studying for AP ES and I've got the SmartyPants book, but it is super-short, and lacks well-constructed practice tests. I need another prep book to fill the gap. Barron's is way too in-depth (over 500 pages), so its automatically excluded from my selection. I've heard good things about Princeton Review's Cracking the AP Environmental Science Exam, but I've also heard it doesn't cover the math formulas and other various topics. What prep book do you recommend?

And please respond ASAP, I've got to order one soon.

I need to know too… buuuuumpppppp and for the record, SWaGGeReR, I’m using the Smartypants, Barrons, and an Environmental Science text book. I’m not sure if I’m over studying, but I have alot of free time so… :)

Unfortunately free time is nonexistent in my world :(

I hard Barron’s is LOOOONNNGGGG and contains a lot of unessential information.

Smartypants is good, but it’s way to concise.

I’m probably just going to go ahead and order PR tonight (along w/ Crash Course for USH).

yo guys,im also using the smartypants; i realized one thing.
memorizing and knowing those terms would help on the MC portion that’s for sure, but knowing how the processes actually work would help us on the FRQ. so recently i began studying ALL FRQ probs for APES from the collegeboard(it has answers too, extremely helpful, IMO)
i think getting accustomed to the FRQ and knowing what they want, im pretty sure we’ll get 5’s…
i think the smartpants is enough. :)

Well I just ordered PR last night (along with Crash Course for USH and Barrons for Math II). I’ll let you guys know how PR compares to Smartypants once I receive it.

Ren, where did you find FRQs on collegeboard? I’m looking but can’t seem to find them…

I have the Barron’s book (got it cheap at a used book store), and it’s long. Is Smartypants really that great? I have never heard of the book outside of CC.
