Hello everyone!
For junior year I’m planning on taking:
AP English Language
Accelerated Precalculus/Trig (NOT AN HONORS OR AP COURSE)
Honors Chemistry
AP United States History
Honors Spanish 4
Latin 2
Intro to Law
I still have room in my schedule to fit AP Environmental Science, and I want to show colleges that I can be determined in any subject, so should I take it? I don’t prefer science, but since APES is easy, should I take it? If I don’t take APES, then I can add 2 more electives, preferably social studies related. I should also say that I plan on majoring in linguistics or international relations and then go to law school so do I even need a science ap in the first place?
Thank you in advance!
Take it it’s an AP class even though it’s “easy” doesn’t mean colleges will think less of you
What science classes have you taken so far? What is the workload for APES? How much homework? What classes would you be taking otherwise? How much work for those classes? Which courses are you more interested in?
Since you’re already taking Chemistry, I think pursuing the social studies classes you are more interested is a smarter choice! APES is not a difficult class, but is really not that interesting to people who are not science enthusiasts…and most colleges know it is nothing like AP Chemistry, AP Biology, AP Physics…enjoy your classes!!
@IAmNotCreativ I’m taking Honors Bio right now and i have a 97 but i dont like bio and people at my school say that APES is easy but you have to do so many outlines and i dont mind science
@Sterny16 ok ill think about it thank you!
@LushLillies thank you so much! btw i want to take ap physics c mecanics senior year and i personally like physics out of all the sciences but people say ap physics is super duper hard so yeah lol
As long as you take one year each of bio, chem, and physics you’ll be fine. Take the classes that you are more interested in.
Perhaps you should try to get an internship at a law firm.
