Ap Euro- Hard!!!

I feel alright about this test. I didn't work very hard all year, but the Multiple Choice didn't seem too terribly difficult, and I feel pretty good about at least two of the essays -- FRQ 1 was iffy.

And An0maly, what is your source that says only 3 students missed 10 or less last year? With 97,042 taking the exam (AP: European History Grade Distribution), I have a hard time buying that so few only missed an eighth of the questions.

LOl, our class was not really prepared to take this test. What we did all year was these huge packets for each chapter and presentations. I dont know, but we just weren't ready.

MC was easy, but this being my first test, I didnt know how to pace myself and was only able to answer like 66 questions with confidence. RAN OUT OF TIME!

DBQ was hard for me, I panicked, it was the first time I wrote an DBQ essay all year. I knew what I had to do, just took a little too long to plan although the topic was extremely easy.

FRQs were horrible, especially in section C, which I just left blank. But I ended up writing some form of BS on the DBQ and section B.

But definately a good experience, I enjoyed the class and this will help me pace myself on future collegeboard test and the chem test on tuesday. Now I just have to breathe chemistry, eat chemistry, sleep chemisty all weekendd!!

@ scuba723 - I got that from Larry Treadwell. His email is treadwl@comcast.net, so you can email him to ask. I just heard it at the AP euro review for Broward County.

For those who felt bad coming out of the exam, s came home very frustrated and said the DBQ was nothing their class had ever studied or heard of - even the one guy in his class who knows that period of history inside and out did not know the material for this question.

Our s was taking the class because he enjoys history. He has been admitted to a school who will not take even an AP score of 5 for collegiate credit without retesting with the school's test anyway, so he was not taking it for the same reasons as many of the others in his class. I felt bad for some of the other students, as at least one normally would have had a good chance at a 5 with a different DBQ.

Yeah I finished the MC with around 5 blanks. It was easier than I thought it would be, because we had been taking some really difficult practice tests. I think it went alright. The first FRQ was my main weakness. I need at least a 3 for college credit. Hope I get it! lol that rhymes.

even the one guy in his class who knows that period of history inside and out did not know the material for this question.

It hasn't been 48 hours......but your teacher should have taught the DBQ prompt. Its too important of an event.

And besides, you really don't need to anything to write a DBQ. They supply you with the background info.

Did anyone else notice something funny about one of the MC questions? Like, that none of the answer choices were correct?

I thought the MC was hard, while the FRQ and DBQ was pretty easy.

for me, the dbq was wonderful... but those frqs were =( i thought the multiple choice was pretty easy. besides some things that i've never ever heard of. like that one on the first page?

Stella nova yea I thought for one of the quotes the real answer wasnt there I ended up picking C because the other four I would have recognized for other quotes.

Stella Nova: The correct answer was there (C). I thought the same until I came home and looked it up.

caesar are you sure it was C... if it is atleast I know i got one question right

geez, ap euro is so much easier than apush
seriously.

r u talking about the famous quote that had other stuff in it. Yea i guessed and put C because i knew everyone else

also, there was another question that i felt didnt have any real answers. Hint, it was in the beginning...the very beginning

okay for essays: I included most of the facts, but I had A LOT of grammer mistakes and my paragraphs were pretty short..I think I got at least a 5 on both? opinions?

caesar, can you tell me exactly where you found that answer? I was really sure of what the answer was supposed to be, but it wasn't a choice.

Um...google the main portion of the quote and use Boolean logic to exclude results from the person who was not an answer choice.

pnthrs11: Yeah, I'm sure. However, I don't think that one question is really going to make or break you on an AP exam.

^^ Five pages of google have produced overwhelming evidence for the person who was not an answer choice and none for choice (C). I don't know, maybe we're using a different "main portion of the quote"... I could only remember the first sentence.

Use the person from answer choice C in your search (I like how we're talking about this in cryptics.)

Or even better, search for the person in choice C on wikipedia, and search for the quote using "Edit->Find."
