Euro is so awesome.

Defenestration of Prague <3

I just got out of the AP Art History test, and even after 2 solid hours of writing (8 hours total of testing, since I had English today too. Adding up to a grand total of 4 hours of writing) I still love Art History. Walking out of any other exam, I’m always so over the class, but Art History, it’s part of your life. I can use this knowledge forever. When I drive down the street, I can point out the styles and elements of various buildings. Sure someday I’ll forget the finer architectural terms, I’ll have no idea where Nan Daemun is 50 years from now, but I’ll still be able to discuss Art a lot better than I’ll be able to discuss the contributions of L’Hopital to Calculus at that age (I took that test too. BC).
I took APUSH last year and now I don’t know anything about US History. It’s the same with Euro. But Art History is part of your life. Forever. It’s so worth it.
And like it’s stated above, you learn so much Eur history in Art History (and actual nonWestern History for once in our lives) that Taking Eur would be crazy.

Also, who didn’t learn about the Defenestration of Prague in plain old modern 9th grade history? I mean come on. Sure it’s cool, but it’s not that cool.

Wow. Way to burn me.

I just happen to think the Defenestration of Prague is really cool. And no, I didn’t learn it in 9th grade World History. Thanks.

Hilsa: Can you bring the Defenestration of Prague discussion over to the UF thread Incoming freshman. We need something to create some buzz.

Also please explain what the heck it is. Thanks kid.

AP EURO!

I’m in that class right now and LOVE it. I personally am not that into art or its history so I’m biased against it. It depends on what you’re interested in … if you like art, then I’d suggest Art History.

That said, if you’re not sure about the teacher (and have heard mixed reviews), I’d go with Euro, only because it’s better safe than sorry!
