AP Euro

I was just wondering how far everyone is in their history book my class is on the french revolution and the test is on Thurs. so I'm a little worried.

r u kidding?
..or do u mean u r up to the FR in review? (i hope this doesnt sound mean)

no that's where we actually are and we aren't reviewing. The principal is trying to force me to take the AP test but I know I won't do well on it.

We just finished the unification of Germany.

Our teacher handed out packets that said "EVERYTHING ELSE", so this week of studying 100 years of history should be fun.

Ouch. Sorry about that you guys. This week was Spring Break, but before that we'd been reviewing for about a week. Good luck!

We've been "reviewing" for 3 weeks.

There's 2 AP Euro classes at my school (and next year there won't be any, since it's turning into AP World), and we do 5 MC questions from past exams each day. The class with the most correct gets a huge prize on exam day.

So far, 1st hour has 55/60 and 2nd hour has 52/60.

Bump Bump Bump

MissTi, based on what you have said, I don't know if I would recommend taking the test (and its on Friday BTW). You are going to get essay questions on subjects that you might have time to cram for, but I don't know how much you can b.s. an essay. The multiple choice would be extremely hard if you only learned up to the French Revolution. I would advise taking a practice test to see how you do. If you have no chance of passing (3 or above) I wouldn't advise taking it. However, if you have already paid for it you can always take it and then cancel your grade if you think you did horribly. Good luck making your decision.

My class has been reviewing for the past 3-4 weeks. Last year's average on the exam was a 4.5

My class is on WWII and the teacher isn't even doing anything, just passing out papers with basic information on the time going up to and during WWII. And we pretty much skipped from Napoleon to WWI, which I think was pretty stupid. Nothing on the unification of Germany or Italy, nothing on the Russian Revolution, nothing on the Revolutions of 1848. Not to mention things like the Scientific Revolution that we totally skipped over earlier in the year. I kinda feel sorry for people in my class who didn't get a study guide. We spent way too much time on the Reformation, the Enlightenment, and the French Revolution and not enough on everything else.

We haven't even reviewed at ALL. Our class is on WWII also, meh.

I feel SO screwed over, aaaaah...

I got a 5 last year with very minimal studying and the only thing I can recommend is to buy the Princeton Review book and read through all of it and do the tests. The MC questions in the Princeton Review book are harder than the actual test btw.

We've been done with the textbook for a little over a week. We're being taught about Art now...lol. It was never covered in the textbook.

i agree with daonlykid. i also bought the princeton review book and got a 5 . the last practice MC in there was like almost the same as the actual one

We're on Gorbachev/Reagan/Thatcher and all the fun people of the 1980s and we've been doing review tests and the actual book simultaneously for about two weeks now. French Revolution was definitely before Christmas.

Test on Friday!!!! I'm debating studying....i won't get any credit for it, and I already got a 5 on US. Hmmm......

You're only at the French Revolution???? My teachers did 4 chapters of about 16 in the first semesters and we still made it to WWII.

We literally skipped World War II (though we do have review handouts) after covering the 30's and then had a crash course on the politics and society of post-WWII Europe up until the fall of communism in the 80's. Our class has done no review; it's up to ourselves to review the older stuff. Which means that I'm kind of screwed for the 17th-18th centuries with England's merry succession issues and not mixing up all of the Prussian rulers...

eek, I totally missed this thread! Our class actually finished last week through the early 90's (fall of communism, EU etc.). It was pretty amazing considering we started with Napolean in January!

wow...French Revolution is about 3-4 months ago for me...we broadly studied WWII 2 weeks ago and we've been reviewing for the past 2 weeks...but I'm worried because we haven't covered anything past the 1940s...thank God for Barron's review book!!

I'm still REALLY scared that one of the sets of 3 essays won't have ANY that I'll want to/will be able to write on.
