AP Euro

Do I need to know extremely specific things?

How close is REA's tests to the Actual test?

I am a self study student and am JW how much I need to study extremely specific things.

Can anyone who has taken the test before highlight the more important things to study?

<a href="http://www.white-history.com%5B/url%5D">www.white-history.com</a> will help you get a 5 on the exam.

Is REA's MC accurate to that of the AP EXAM b/c I only score around a 60% on REA's, and the example MC put out on the collegeboard website I scored 100%, even if it was 40 problems.

That web site contains some not-so-subtle racist undertones...

Perhaps you should stick with the more professional sites:

<a href="http://college.hmco.com/history/west/mckay/western_society/7e/students/outlines.html%5B/url%5D">http://college.hmco.com/history/west/mckay/western_society/7e/students/outlines.html</a></p>

REA is a little harder, but still pretty accurate.

REA's tests seem super specific to me, whereas the World Hisotry test today and the example MC were more generic.

Does anyone else have experience with REA's book?

i am doing practice with REA and Barrons. ill let u know how it helped after i receive my 1 in July! yay

thank you for the link GUATE

also I found this site, might help a few people

<a href="http://www.historyteacher.net/APEuroCourse/APEuroCourseMainPage.htm%5B/url%5D">http://www.historyteacher.net/APEuroCourse/APEuroCourseMainPage.htm</a></p>

"Note" there are 2 types of quizzes on this site, might help a little bit for cramage ;)

YOu dont need an additional document for the DBQ in europe right?

that web site has no racist undertones. where? it specifically says there aren't. anyway, i used it last year and got a 5... you need to read before you just "jump to conclusions"

guate, you idiot.

does anyone know what the curve is for the exam?!

I used an REA and got a 5

Easy there amnesia, I apologize if I offended you.

I believe your claim that the site helped you get a 5 on the test; it contains some great information. It's just that the overall presentation of the web site, e.g. that it is a history of "the white race", puts an emphasis on racial themes that would not be discussed in a normal textbook because they are not directly relevant to our study of Europe.

Like the specific emphasis on whites in Egypt(?!) and the practice of constantly referring to any other ethnic groups as "non-whites". The author portrays battles between cultures as "race wars" and even calls them such.
Perhaps the author does not realize that Europe is not made up of only whites--certainly reading a whites-only history of Europe is neglecting some important information, especially in regard to modern Europe.

Anyway, that's why I myself would not review using that site and why I suggested an alternative...

if it said black race, u would think differently.

dude, everything on there is true. you have to look at history from a racial perspective... how the hell did the us get into the mess it's in? AA is nonwhite, anyway.

well, it got me a 5... and if it said black or asian race, u would say it's fine. w/e. apology accepted, i guess we have different viewpoints.
oh and, for the record, im not white... and i didn't find it racist.

thank u for ur link again guate, you are my savior!! it might make the difference between a 0 and a 1 for me! lol jk

From what I've heard the Euro curve is pretty generous. In class we took a practice exam...with only 58 correct MC, 9 on DBQ, and 7's on FRE, I got a 5. Also, my teacher said that with only 30/80 MC correct and a 9 on DBQ alone (without FRE) will already get you a 3

anyone wanna guess at what the essays might be? my teacher "suspects" there will be a compare/contrast with the french and russian revolutions and also thinks there will be a world war 2 question. any more thoughts??

I wonder if there will be a question dealing with social issues like women and minorities' rights.

ps. does anyone have an official curve from a previous year? Just want to see the range.
