ooohhh crapshaith....I really messed up on part II. Lenin must be rolling in his grave my essay was so bad. So much for a 5.........

I did much better on the essays/DBQ than the multiple choice I believe

I screwed up mutiple choice-- left too many blank, I think. It's probably because I was so exhausted from taking yesterday's AP exams. I couldn't think too well.

I believe my essays were pretty good though. We'll see come late July.

Best wishes everyone! It's all over! (everyone taking the exam today cheered when the proctor told us that our time was up.)

LOL... I think I did well on the multiple choice but bombed some of those essays. The part B one, I chose question two, the one about women... OMG I BSed that entire thing! I mean, I knew the general gist of the answer but didn't have any really great examples to back up my thesis.

All I'm wanting is a 3 so hopefully I did well enough for that!

i chose the one about king henry VIII and then the one about marxism. Hmm i think i might have dont the worst though on the DBQ. I couldnt really think of a good way to divide it into 3 parts. They should really give us more time for this.

It was easy enough, if you used the reading time to plan.

For the DBQ, I thought of two ways to organize it, the latter of which I used.

Geographical differences:

I. Intro
II. Eastern (USSR) opinion
III. Western (USA/British opinion
IV. Continential (French, Spanish, etc.) opinion
V. Conclusion

Interests:

I. Intro
II. Fear (de Gaulle, USSR, Thatcher)
III. Economic Opportunities (Cartoon, British Finance Minister, etc.)
IV. Idealogical pretense (NATO request, strong Europe ones, etc.)
V. Conclussion

I think the last shows a more thorough understanding of the topic and the types of bias, however.

i used kinda a hybrid thingy which most likely made zero sense :-/. I did views on the pro-side, anti-side, and the self serving ones.

I explained that geographic location played a major role in the divisions in the 3 categories - I used pro, anti, and self serving.

However, it eventually all boiled down to self-centeredness - continental ones were more afraid of soviet agressions thus they joined up earlier, and soviets were afraid of the united western europe, and brits weren't as concerned because they were far away(which explains why they joined up late - I think ;)). The last category I used was self-serving views, which I supported with "the strongest W European countries were reluctant to join because they were afraid it would diminish their power." de Gaulle, Thatcher, etc.

Yeah, that made zeeeero sense, I completely bombed the essays, but I think I did okay on the MC.

I think Lenin has a lot more to worried about then your essay.

aww euro. I took euro last year and loved the class, got a 5, and it was great. Now i'm in US history, i hate it, and i'm probably getting a 4. I miss euro.

and for the dbq grouping, though i have no clue what it's about, i think xbones's second grouping seems best. well... a belated good luck to you all.

i paced myself terribly, finished the essays with 15 minutes to spare, but i feel pretty good about them anyway.

aughh it was horrible. for me at least.

is it true a 50/80 on multiple choice is considered a 5? lol.

My DBQ I planned into the opinions based on the map, of when the nations joined so it was more like

I. Intro
II. a) FR/GER
b) GB
c) SP/POR/GRE
III. Conc

It wasn't a total repetition of the sources, it had some application of the growing tendency to join because of necessity, or some crap like that. It was only my 2nd DBQ I've ever done (still working on essay composition)

Then I did the Henry/Luther one and #4 which I forget. They weren't bad though.

i thought the test was fair in difficulty. the MC was fair enough, but i thought the DBQ was quite hard. like many of you (or so it seems) i couldn't think of a good way to group them. i ended up doing the quickest thing i could think of:
1. Pro unity for selfish reasons
2. pro unity for selfless reasons
3. Anti unity for all

i was able to find enough opportunities of bias, so i hope i did okay. what do you think?

for the essays i picked 4 and 7. the martin luther/henry VIII was excellent, but the trade one was questionable. what did anybody who wrote that one write about?

i did the mult choice for fun (prob about a 3) then slept through the dbq and essays :). that was relaxing (and so unlike me lol)

Just want to make sure I don't get in trouble for discussing the FRQ's and DBQ. Are we allowed to yet (has it been 48 hours)?

I went country by country, had about 5 body paragraphs.

I. Intro and Thesis
II. Soviets
III. Germans
IV. French
V. British
VI. Everyone else
VII. Conclusion

Does not always have to be a five paragraph essay if it flows.
