Hey every one

I am currently a highschool freshman and i have been given the choice to take the AP European history course and Exam in Sophmore year. Has anyone or is taking the AP Euro test in Sophmore year? If so then how hard is it and how did it help you with statewide history tests.

Thanks
Shadman

yup, took AP Euro sophomore year, a lot info to remember. But it's good if you like history and don't have trouble taking notes or retaining info. I almost died because I don't like history and I can't take notes, but I managed to pull off a 4.

Make sure you like history, alot of stuff to remember in Euro. I love history and I actually read the book for fun when I was bored (haha I'm a geek, I know), I slept almost everyday in class, pulled off an A in the class and a 4 on the Ap test. The test was not too hard, but I remember getting done with all 60 questions then right when I was about to go back and review my answers, the 60 minutes was up. The DBQs were not too bad either.

I had Euro soph year. I hate history and my teacher didn't well... teach. Yay! My first AP class was about 98% self-taught! I kinda forgot that there was an AP test until people started talking about a week before. I managed to pass still...

We don't have BST history tests, so I don't know how it would help...

Yeah, I took the exam without the class in Sophmore year and managed to get a 4 by just reading the text book a month prior...so if you're actually taking the course with all the necessary materials provided for you, then you should do just fine.

I took it in sophmore year and loved the class.

Even if the teacher is bad, the info is really interesting (at least, for a history geek such as myself ^^;). The AP Exam is not difficult as long as you're good at memorizing stuff.

I had a horrible teacher (watched videos about every day), self studied, got a 5. Definitely take the class!

I had a horrible teacher, taught it to myself, and got a 5. Maybe this owes to the fact that I'm a history nerd, but it's soooo interesting!
Oh, and I was a sophomore when I took the class and the test.
