yale doesnt offer any credits or acceleration for history AP scores so should i even try to do well on the european history exam? the test is on friday and i dont feel like studying lol but i'd feel kinda bad going in cold and getting a bad score. can i choose which scores to send to yale? or do i have to send them all? i guess they cant do anything about a bad AP test score but for a prospective history major, i feel like that would look bad. any advice?

I would just do it. I took 6 AP exams last year and that was my only 4 but I’ll admit that it was a good test although I would say that it was my most challenging one. Keep in mind that I’m not a Euro history enthusiast though.

Are you a junior or a senior? If you’re a junior, you will be asked on the Yale application about all your AP scores. If you’re a senior and you’ve already been accepted, they won’t care.

oh sorry i meant to say before. im an accepted senior. should i even bother canceling the score? or does it really not matter at all

Yale won’t care. Why are you taking the test in the first place?

You could do what I did on AP Calc…

I talked about my prom dress and Christmas-treed the multiple choice :)

If you’re already paid for it and it’s too late to drop…might as well have fun with it!

But in all seriousness…it’s up to you. I didn’t do too great on Euro. I got a three, which was good enough for me at the time. But this summer (just for fun - already got my history credit and I’m not a history major) I’m taking Euro history at the College of Charleston, because I really want to learn the history that I didn’t learn my sophomore year of high school.

It’s really up to you, but you might regret later not learning it better.
