So I am a junior in highschool and I just checked my ap score today. I got 4 on my a.p calc which was bad for me but acceptable. I scored 3 on my apus which I literally worked my butt off since march ( I still cannot accept my score). For more info, I consistently scored solid 5s on actual ap practice tests at my school scaled appropriately. In addition I felt that I did well on the multiple choice (at least more than half). Should I consider rescoring and help me with the process. I prepared hard for this exam.

If you think that you worked hard and that you deserved a higher score because you knew what you were doing on the test, you should have it rescored. Especially because at a lot of colleges you can only get credit for 4s and 5s with history courses.

As for the calc though, I think you could be fine with a 4. A lot of times you just have to pass to get credit for it. Plus it costs 25 dollars for each test you rescore and a 4 is not considered bad by any means.

Thank you for the response. Yes, I am going to stick with my a.p calc score. But for U.S history I am considering a rescore because I felt that the test was relatively easy and I was sure after the test I would get a five (in the worst posssible scenario maybe a high 4)
Was there any successful rescore stories for ap us?

Meh, it’s $25, go for it. A 3 probably won’t get you credit anywhere. A raised score wouldn’t really benefit you in terms of college admissions, but it could get you out of a college course which is well worth $25.

I have heard many success stories. From anecdotal evidence I’ve read, t does appear that Collegeboard makes a lot of mistakes. I believe only the MC is regraded though. A score of a 1 or 2 is more likely to have been graded incorrectly.

Some people choose to also have their FR booklet sent to them (costs like $7) just to ensure CB has it and graded it. If they lost it, they’ll just score your exam without the FR and not give it another thought, believe it or not. But it would be pretty difficult to get a 3 without any FR graded… You’d need 68/80 correct (http://appass.com/calculators/us).

So if I do decide to rescore and get my frq back that means I would have to pay $32 right?
Anyway thanks for the response. I will post again once I get my score back

Hey now I am very decided to rescore my exam.
My friends all scored 4s and 5s and I did better them by far on all the practice tests I took at my school. I hope things turn out successful

I just got my AP results and received a 3 on AP HG. I was considering rescoring it. The fact is that I was not confident for the MC part but quite confident about the frqs. I checked a score calculator and even if I got a 0/74 on the MC but full on frq I would get a 4. Do u think the score was correct and the curve this year might have been really harsh or maybe they did not include my MC or frq? I am quite confident they did not incorrectly grade my MC. The money is not a big problem but I would rather not waste it unnecessarily. Thank you

Hey is there any help I can get for rescoring?
Collegeboard ppl almost never answers the phone directly.
Is there anyway I can email them or process my scoring online?
for everyone out there who scored a lot worse than they ensured or guranteed or expected, cheer up. Who knows may be cb really made mistakes although even myself doubt that they did. It is still worth it to try if you are sure like I am
