ap exam credit and maximum number of units?

I’ve noticed many colleges have a maximum number of units, and you aren’t allowed to exceed that amount. I know CSUNs max is 140 units.
Does anyone know if units earned from AP Exam credit counts towards that 140? I have 24 units in AP Credit for all of the CSUs I’m applying to. Can I still take 140 units while in college? Or am I limited to 140-24, so 116? I couldn’t find this information online (unlike UCs where it’s clearly explained), so I’m hoping for a response from someone with experience or maybe who pays more attention to small details on the websites. Info about any CSU campus would be helpful, but I’m specifically asking about: CSUN CSULB, SDSU, and CSUSM.
