does anyone know where you can find out how much the curves for all the ap tests this year (2007) were?

it was ridiculously low for AP calc.. fo show,, even I got a 5

i really hope i got a 5 on that one too

me three........

Yeah, the curves always seem to be the best for the Math exams...even though they're easier than the others. So it pretty much makes a 5 meaningless, great for us who actually studied and don't brag about leaving half the free-response blank. I'm surprised my college takes 3's in AB, you could get a 3 by showing up.

I think the curve for AP Bio was nice. I didn't answer two questions on the FRQ correctly. I got a 3.

APUSH's curve must have been slightly nice becuase I messed up on half of a FRQ. I still got a 4.

Bio's a tricky test to figure out. You'd expect it to be high because of all of the kids who take it not expecting so much information, but then there are the kids who walk into Bio class the first day knowing all the **** already because their parents are scientists or they're crazy smart. So you have both sides of the spectrum. Anyway, I'm smarter than any of them: I didn't take it haha.

i thought the calc ab and eng lang curves were pretty low thank god
apush it seemed slightly high

anyone know anything about how they curved AP chinese? I got a 5 even though the typing software malfunctioned and I didn't do the ORQs right.

I know last year stats was 60+% or so for 5, 51% for 4.
APUSH must be liberal since I completely effed up Bacon's rebellion/Shay's Rebellion on one of the FRQs (I even mixed together Daniel Shays with Nathaniel Bacon to make Nathaniel Shay...... 0_o) and I still got a 5.

tintin220, the curve has more to do with multiple choice questions than Free Response, only because there are many different graders for the FRQ. Maybe you got a 5 because the person who graded your test didn't care so much about you mixing up the names. If you got another, more bitter grader he might have taken points off the test. That's not so much a curve as luck.

APUSH seemed like it had a harder curve, due to the fact that I got a 4 and I thought I did fairly well, when I had been scoring 5's on the mock exams. :(

Calc seemed to have a pretty decent curve, as I thought I had gotten a 3, but instead I received a 4. I kind of wanted a 5, but a 4 is not bad by any means.

Bio probably had the easiest curve I have ever seen in my whole life!!! I barely knew anything regarding biology, I had the crappiest teacher alive (he's a good guy but BAD teacher), I was extremely sick that day, I didn't know any classification, I BS'ed every single one of the essays and still managed to get a 4! I swear I thought I failed that miserably! :)

I still haven't received mine from CB yet due to the fact that I live in Ohio, but how was English Lang.'s curve? I'm getting that Bio's had a nice curve and I'm getting mixed reads on APUSH, was a good or bad curve?

big curve for bio and calc ab i'm hearing?

US Hist MUST'VE had a great curve because i had never written a dbq prior to the exam and i just babbled the whole way through (i self-studied, albeit intensely)... i got a 5...

Calculus AB- big curve b/c otherwise ~1-2% would have gotten 5s considering the Free Response from Hell
Biology- multiple choice was straightforward, 4th essay was depressingly funny, everything else was pretty simple, good curve b/c of the 4th essay and 2nd essay (cephalization I think)
US History- very random multiple choice on social history which no one cares about, essays were not that bad except for the DBQ, I didn't mention granges or sharecroppers and I still got a 5
English Language- multiple choice were tricky and I thought the last passage was extremely abstract, the essays were much easier than what I saw in the book (Cliffs AP)

btw, I got 5s on all 4 of the exams I took this year. I started prepping for Bio and History during Spring break. my class finished calculus early (happens every year) so we reviewed in class for about a month, which was very helpful, didn't have to do much self-study. there is no AP eng. lang at my school, but selected juniors take the exam based on psat scores and English grades. my school assumes that junior english prepares students well enough for the AP exam (which is generally true).

Anyways, I hope everyone did well on their exams. If you're not satisfied, don't fret too much, try to enjoy ur summer while filling out college applications.

anyone have any opinions on the us gov curve?

rls83, I think there are too many Politics freaks out there to be a big curve. Always leave it to the enthusiasts to ruin it. Of course my expertise, math, has the hugest curve of all.

No, your hopes and mine rest in the hands of the graders. Let's hope they were lenient. Very lenient.

i thought us gov't had the harshest curve... sheesh, i got a 4

So does anyone have the read for English Language curve yet? Since I still haven't received my damn scores yet!!!
