Hey so I took three ap exams: ap biology, apush, and ap English. I didn’t really try in ap biology and ended up getting a 2 which was really surprising considering I circled random stuff and thought I was gonna get a 1. I also ended up getting a 2 in apush which was even more surprising cause I’ve had A’s in that class all year. I don’t know how I could’ve gotten the same score in both ap bio and apush cause i know more about apush than ap bio. Should I get it rescored? I really wanna get an ap scholar award and I could only get it if I passed one more. I passed ap English with a 5 and ap world with a 3.
The AP Scholar award is not a big deal in the grand scheme of things. I doubt that colleges even care about it.
If you DO want a rescore, note that:
- It costs $30 per exam
- Only the MC is rescored
- If there is a difference between the original score and the rescored score, the rescored score will prevail. It IS possible, then, for your rescored score to be LOWER.
If you still want to take a chance for piece of mind, then go ahead and send the rescore requests. Good luck.
Same thing happened to me. I had all A’s throughout the school year in APUSH and AP Psych but I got a 2 on both of the AP exams.
Who even cares about the AP Scholar?
No colleges will because you usually send scores once you have admitted to a school meaning after the admission process. Just buy your next AP prep book and study for that one. Don’t worry about it.
