AP Exam Retake?

I checked my scores and scored a 3 on Statistics despite being the top student in the class. I am a rising senior, and my Statistics teacher is writing one of my recommendations. I truly do not believe that that score is an accurate representation of my ability and knowledge regarding AP Statistics. I don’t intend to apply for credit, and my ED school requires official reporting of scores.

If I am applying to a major that deals with statistics, would this score hurt me? If I try and take the exam next year as a senior would this benefit me in any way?

No. Move on.

No. A 3 is still a passing score.

It won’t help at all if you take it again, colleges won’t see your second score until after they’ve made their decision and you were already at the top of the class. It’s better to move on
