Our town has lost seven days this year due to snow. And it is not February yet! They will be made up in June. That's no consolation for AP students who have to take exams starting May 2. Anyone else concerned and do you think there is anything schools or the college board can or should do about this? Any creative ideas out there? Each day is just so precious when it comes to finishing the AP curriculum.

Well some students get an extra month in August to prepare for their exams. My school year starts in September, so I already lose a month, not to mention any snow days. There is nothing to be done about this. In the same way that college board will not push the AP exams off a month due to varying school year starts, they won’t move everything for seven snow days. My best advice - study on your own.

What I was wondering is are school districts doing creative things. Perhaps holding extra Saturday morning classes, using Feb. and April vacations, talking to the College Board about having a class use the make up day at the end of the College Board schedule, etc.
