I have 5s on all of my AP exams except for Chemistry which I got a 3 on (bad studying habits sophomore year)
In terms of how colleges look at AP scores:
Would it look better if I got my Chemistry score cancelled so that I'd have all 5s? Or is it better to leave it since I took the course in school?

Colleges don’t really look at AP scores other than for credit.

You self report your APs so if you don’t want to show the 3 just don’t list it.

It’s too late to cancel your score. You self-report the scores on the common app. Since AP scores carry little to no weight in admissions, I would list the Chem score. Since your transcript will show an AP Chem class, if you omit the score, colleges may assume one of two things:

• You did not take the AP exam because you were unmotivated.
• You took the exam and got a 1 or a 2.

Neither is the case here. Just report it.

Generally, AP scores do not matter for the admission process; it is more for credit in classes once you attend.
