Yeah, I know difficulty is subjective. That said, I think CC can still come up with a general AP tier list based on how much butt the exams kick. Here's my tier list, not ranked within each tier, based on my experiences and what I've heard.

God Tier:
Languages
Physics C: Mech
Physics C: E&M

High Tier:
BC Calc
Chem
Euro
Music Theory
Computer Science

Mid Tier:
American
U.S. Gov
Comp Gov
AB Calc
Bio
Physics B
Art History
World History

Low Tier:
Stats
Psych
English Lang
English Lit
Macro
Micro

Slag Tier:
Human Geography
Enviro
Studio Art

yeah i thought euro was bad when i was taking, but ended up w/ a 5 o_o
im planning on self studying macro/micro enviro, and psych along with other classes.
you guys think it would be manageable? as they are lower tier?

Im only going to rank classes that I am familiar with.

HARD (in no particular order):
English Literature
Physics C Mechanics
Physics C E&M (Hardest BY FAR)
Chemistry (too much content… the questions themselves are relatively straightforward)

MEDIUM (in no particular order):
Statistics
English Language (more teachable than literature because rhetoric is less subjective)
World History
US History
Calculus AB (a breeze if you’re good at math)
Calculus BC (just a little bit more content than AB)

EASY (in no particular order):
Comp Sci (this is the most fundamental level of Java!)
Comp Gov (joke class)
Biology (brute memorization…)
Psychology (a fun class)
Chinese
Microeconomics
Macroeconomics

With all that said, don’t let these “tiers” determine what AP classes to take. Do what interests you. Its not worth wasting a year in a blow off class for an easy A if you couldnt give less of a **** in class. Its also not worth wasting a year of hard sweat and tears if you take a “difficult AP” just to impress admissions officers.

Art History is definitely in the “hard tier” because unlike the other Ap history classes, you are starting with no background knowledge in the topic. Plus, the AP test for it is pretty brutal.
