AP examination

I am fluent in Spanish, Italian, and French. Does this mean that I could be exempted from the respective AP classes and just take the AP exam? Please respond! Your response is extremely appreciated =D

Eh people seem to have different opinions on the topic, but I’m not one to speak on it. You might find more advice if you post on the regular high school thread

Not exactly, but you are free to do it. I was fluent in Chinese, but still took the AP class and the test because I needed language credits to graduate.

You’ll need to talk to your high school to see if that meets their graduation requirements. For college admission, however, yes those fulfill the requirements.

Are you a non-native speaker for any of those languages?

I would recommend taking the AP exams (and also the respective SAT II exams if you can).

You can sit for any AP exam, regardless of whether you have taken the class. Talk to your school and they can order the exam for you. If they don’t offer the exam and don’t want to proctor it just for you, contact nearby high schools and ask if they would be willing to proctor the exam for you.
