Only one year away! I'm already trying to decide what to study! I'm thinking...

Actual Classes...
APUSH (that's all we have =( )

Self Studies...
Euro (on the same day as APUSH so i'm a bit leary)
APES
Psychology
WHAP

Thoughts?

Haha, I couldn’t handle four self studies. But most people on this site are much better at time management than I am, so if you’re one of those people, go for it!

I’m taking APUSH, AP Lit and AP Physics B.

I’m not doing four… I’m trying to narrow down to two self’s I think… I should’ve been more clear =D

4 self-studies is definitely possible, but it is NOT a good idea to do all histories in one year unless you really like history or are very good at memorizing. Environmental Science is a good self-study though. I self-studied it this year. Just don’t procrastinate any of those.

Next year in school:
Calculus AB
Chemistry
Psychology

Self-study: Will probably choose about 3 out of these:
Comparative Government
US Gov
Macroecon
Microecon
Physics B

Next year I’m taking AP chem, comp & US.

I’m thinking self maybe psych? Or a slim chance of ES but I don’t really think that’s a good idea lol

Why not? Environmental was my favorite self-study this year.

Class:
Calculus BC
Microeconomics
Environmental Science
Physics B
English Lit
Statistics

Self-Study / Taking Outside:
Physics C: Mech
Physics C: E & M
U.S. Government
*European History
*French
*Computer Science

= maybe

I wish I had another year for AP exams. If I wasn’t graduating this year, I would take:

Biology
Art History
Human Geography
World History

Classes:
AP Euro
AP Bio

Self-Study:
Pysch
World History
Environ Sci
Physics B

Do you think Physics B is a plausible self-study? I’m taking a pretty intense physics class but it’s not technically AP

Oh and I’d love to self-study AP Art history but from what I’ve heard that wouldn’t be a good idea bc there’s no prep book and there’s tons of info to cover, so oh well :(

Next year: Senior
In school:
AP Psychology (maybe, because of schedule conflicts)
AP Language
AP European History
AP Biology
AP Physics B
AP Calculus AB

Self Study or Online Courses:
AP Art History
AP Spanish Literature
AP Human Geography

Next year as a junior
In school:
AP US History
AP Psychology
AP English Language
AP Macroeconomics

and I may self study AP European History, since I loved AP World this year

Next year: Junior

AP English Lang
AP USH
AP Psych
AP Calc AB

I wanted to take environmental science, but the teacher who teaches it (and is a REALLY good teacher; I had her for biology honors my freshman year) is having a baby this summer so took the year off. Her replacement is a crappy first-time teacher that I’m not willing to risk my score for. :p

I’m debating whether or not I want to self-study AP Human Geo. Everybody at my school takes it as a freshman, but I registered too late to get in. Word is that it’s the easiest AP class and exam there is, so it doesn’t seem like it’ll be difficult. But I’ve never self-studied before, so I’m a bit hesitant.

AP Lang
AP Calc AB

Oh yeah, I’m a total pansy. I took Bio and World this year (junior year), and my school only offers five altogether, so I don’t feel too bad about it. About half of my schedule next year will be taken up by dual enrollment, too. I’m thinking about self-studying Psych or ES, but we’ll see how everything pans out; I might be too busy with music.

SeekingUni- What do you mean, “risk my score for”? It’s not like you need a real good teacher for Environmental Science, or any teacher at all. And you should definitely self-study HG. It’s not extremely easy like some say, but overall it is pretty easy.

sophomore120164- I think I might self study Physics B as well next year (jr year), but I’ve never taken Physics. It seems possible after looking through a review book but it would require a lot of time.

@puggly123 I took Physics this year and attempted to self-study along with it. A lot of the concepts covered in the review books we didn’t even touch on; it didn’t work out for me at all. I would highly recommend self-studying ONLY if you have a high-level/honors Physics course the same year.

Class:
US Government and Politics
Biology
Calculus BC

Self-study
Human Geography

If it matters at all, I’ll be taking Statistics and Psychology at my community college.

AP Lit
AP Calc BC
I want to take AP Bio, but I just heard that my school won’t have it next year… So I’m signed up for AP physics C but I’m kinda of scared since the teacher doesn’t exactly teach… Maybe I could take something easy like AP psych. Anyways all my other classes will be dual enrollment(except for one art class, which I plan on using as a homework period lol)

Classes:
AP Physics
AP Calculus AB (But self-studying for BC)
AP Government
AP Spanish Lit (Self-Studying in a free period that I’m getting credit for. I’ll be the only one that she “let’s” take the test next year lol)
Ac Dec, which will allow me to take (with some studying) AP Macro and Microeconomics

Self-Study:
AP Psych; There’s no reason to take the class.

So 7 AP’s…that’s kinda ridiculous…I may or may not do Macro/Micro (if I do/don’t do AcDec) and Psych is only if I want to.

Freshman Year:
AP US History (class)

Sophomore Year (this year):
AP US Gov
AP Human Geography (self)

Junior Year (all classes. homework is gonna suck):
AP World History
AP Spanish
AP Calculus BC
AP English Language
AP Chemistry

Senior Year:
AP Statistics
AP Bio
AP English Lit (undecided on this one. probably not gonna do it)

Next year (senior year) -

AP Classes at school:
Calc. BC
Literature & Comp.
Gov.
Macro Econ.
Biology
Latin: Vergil - maybe

Self-Study?
Human Geo.
Comp. Science
Micro Econ.

Can I do it? I don’t know, but I’m going to try.
