Hey guys, just had a few questions about a couple different circumstances that happened to me my junior year that is causing me some concern.

I had a forensics tournament during the AP Psych exam, and my guidance counselor wasn't able to reschedule for the AP Psych exam. I was wondering if I should take the Psych exam (and whether or not AP Exams matter for College Admissions, not placement, but actually being admitted to a college because its an easy 5) or go to the prestigious forensics tournament.

Also, I had lost credit in Honors Analysis in Junior Yr. I have an A in every other class, and was wondering how bad this would hurt me (I think this is an equivalent of a dropped class in the middle of the year). I'm planning on taking it over the Summer to regain my credit.

Thanks in advance guys.

Brah, u worrying too much. just chill man.

How are you not able to reschedule it? I’m sure there are several APs that morning/afternoon people have taken so they will have to take anther day. for the AP exam. Regardless, just do what you feel is right

HI there! I take AP pych too. high five there! how’ s ur revision doing? i think if u have done lots of preparation it’ s not worth it to give it all up. what’ s ur predicted score? how long have u studied for it? months? weeks?

i mean one more or one less ap subject won’t hurt much as it is only categorized under one broad term AP

but if it’ s the tournament n u can actually win sth then it stands out and deserves an extra honour on its own

it’ s ur own decision my frd
anyhow good luck with ur exams n stuff!!

It depends on how well you expect to do at the forensics tournament. If you’re just going to participate and don’t expect to succeed at a level which will offset the easy five I assume you’d get on the AP test, you probably shouldn’t go. But if there’s a title or something similar on the line which would help you in admissions, you should

ex: I went to a prestigious tournament v. I got a 5 on AP Psych (go to the test)

but if ex: I won or placed highly in a forensics tournament v. easy five on AP psych, you should probably go.

I think I could do fairly well, and it’s also a qualifying tournament - thus it’s very prestigious.
I’m not giving the test up - my guidance counselor didn’t reschedule and it’s a little to late. Thank you guys for the information - any info on the dropped classes?

I’m pretty sure there are Late Alternate APs. Say, for your alternate day, you become gravely ill. You should see if you can take it.

Already checked. The remake is May 20th - Collegeboard can’t send a test because they are backed up.
