ap exams score rescore?

should i request college board to rescore my multiple choice? i really studied a lot and did a lot of practice exams. after the exam was done i thought i did well enough to get a score of a 4 or a 5 but when i checked it said that my score was a 2. i was utterly shocked when i saw this, i would have accepted any other 2 on an ap exam if i knew that the exam was hard but i felt completely comfortable with the exam. while i was placing the labels on my exam, i had an incident and accidentally placed my ap number label instead of placing the exam label but, i realized this before turning it in and tried to take off the label but the paper started to take off as well so i just placed the exam label on top of my ap number. i don’t think that this was a reason as to why the “machine” didn’t scan my exam right but is it a possibility? should i request for the rescore? please comment !

Rescoring your MC will never raise it to a 4 or a 5. It probably won;t raise it to a 3. Your only hope, and it is the longest of longshots, is that they lost your FRQ book. So if you order the FRQ and they can’t find it, legend has it that they will base your score on the MC portion alone.

i was thinking more so like they forgot to combine my multiple choice part of the exam w/ my frq’s

Just “forgetting” to score it properly and issuing a score anyway just doesn’t happen - at least I’ve never heard it reported.

I’m dying to hear a real life story about CB losing the written packet. That would be such baloney since basing a score on just MC isn’t fair after all of the practice these kids do on the LEQs, etc.

I hope someone here finds that the CB lost their packet. At the very least, CB should either give them the average score on that written part and factor that in with the student’s multiple choice or let the student take the test again for free. They can’t just go losing tests.
