AP Exams

I understand that I need to take AP exams for the high school AP classes.
Do I need to take AP exams for the classes that I took at the community college?

What is the down side of not taking the AP exams for the community college classes? NO AP Awards from Collegeboard?

The purpose of AP exams is to get either advanced standing or even credit for “college level” work. So if you already have the credit from a community college, I can’t think of why on earth you would take them. You’ve taken the actual college course. But if you’re looking for awards…go ahead if you’ve nothing better to do on a lovely May Saturday morning. ;)

You do not necessarily have to take the AP exams for the high school AP classes. Usually its a given that a student takes them since you can get out of those pesky required courses in college or get Merit Aid for high grades but its not a “must”.
